The Community of Practice is a flexible support structure, commissioned by the Office for Students, and designed to meet the needs of UniConnect partnerships whilst they are developing attainment raising plans.

As part of the community of practice, Causeway Education will be running an event series over the academic year 2022-23. On this page you can find information on the upcoming events coordinated by Causeway, ranging from Q&As with external experts to structured discussion sessions between UniConnect partnerships. The event series is divided into three stages, with new events being added as registration opens.

  1. Foundations: September - December 2022

  2. Interventions: February 2023

  3. Further needs: March 2023 onwards

The Community of Practice forms part of the larger offering of support for UniConnect partnerships. Events should be attended alongside the use of the attainment-raising toolkit, and the advice and feedback on offer from the Centre for Education and Youth (CFEY).

  • We held a series of 5 events that covered the fundamentals you need to set up impactful attainment raising activities:

All recordings are hosted on the Community of Practice Teams channel.

Stage 2: Interventions (February - March 2023)

On Wednesday 15th March, 12-1pm, we will hear from a variety of speakers who will bring evidence of successful tutoring programmes to support partnerships in best practice-sharing discussions. The session will be hosted on Zoom.

  • Events will be designed and delivered in response to the request and needs raised by the Community of Practice. Possible focuses will look at evaluation, strategy and delivery models or regional and national approaches.
