We support young people facing barriers to higher education, apprenticeships and early careers
State-educated students with the same grades as their peers in the private sector are a third less likely to receive an offer from a leading university. (Boliver 2013)
Recent research has indicated that the quality of applications is crucial in determining offer rates to equal-attainment candidates. We design and deliver programmes to ensure that applicants from less privileged backgrounds get the support they need to produce outstanding applications to Higher Education and other post-18 destinations.
Our mission
To equip young people, and the people that support them, with the knowledge, skills, tools and confidence to make the best possible choices and applications to post-18 destinations.
Our impact
In a sample of students receiving our Application Mentoring, 100% received at least one offer from a Russell Group university. Our new approach to applications - from Medicine to Law - was subsequently featured in the national press.
Our partners
We work with over 20 universities and more than 150 schools, sixth-form centres and FE colleges across the country. We design and develop programmes for a range of sector-leading organisations.
