Ann Moss, a renowned scholar, single parent and inspiration to many, died on 13th August 2018. Her daughters, Imogen and Abigail, would like donations in her memory to support disadvantaged young people in County Durham to access places at leading universities.

Money raised will provide Causeway Education training for selected school/s and access for all pupils, current and future, to their OSCAR digital platform. This will support teachers to guide students' subject choices, and provide structured scaffolds for personal statements and references.

It will ensure that schools' advice aligns to the latest admission requirements of all UK courses and includes a wealth of resources to help students produce outstanding applications to Higher Education.

Even with the same grades, students from (non-selective) state schools are a third less likely to receive an offer from a Russell Group university than their privately educated peers
